Drywall art is the use of drywall and specially designed decorative trim. Drywall Art can be used to:
  • create an illusion of larger space
  • create period reproduction trim/woodwork
  • make ceilings look higher or taller
  • create a desired elegance/ambiance
  • make a hallway look wider/bigger
  • create artistic wall detail
  • add ambient lighting to an area
  • create layered drywall ceiling
  • create the look and feel you desire
  • make an area more welcoming
  • make a room look cozy
  • create hidden ceiling/wall lighting
  • help your peripheral vision define an area
  • create designs unachievable with wood
  • it's up to your imagination what can be done!
After the trim is installed and taped, it is painted. In some cases, knock-down or texturing can be added to achieve additional affects. The limits are endless with Drywall Art and the cost will surprise you!

We became involved in Drywall Art several years ago while building spec houses and doing re-habs. Since then, we have constructed Drywall Art in each spec, custom, and rehab house that we have touched. We have also installed Drywall Art and have helped install Drywall Art in homes owned by other folks. We have moved to Wamego, Kansas where we are sharing our knowledge and experience with Drywall Art in the Manhattan, Kansas and surrounding area.

You can find examples of our Drywall Art and the award I received for "Drywall Artist of the Year" in 2009 on Trim-tex's web site.

Just a little food for thought... you might consider using Granite for your countertops, bar tops, bathroom vanities, etc. to complement your Drywall Art! If you are in the Topeka, KS or Manhattan, KS or close by, you might consider looking at Sarto Granite. Their web site is SartoGranite.com
